BTS’ rumoured Coachella 2027 debut is looking uncertain, with negotiations between the group and festival promoter Goldenvoice reportedly ending without a deal.

According to a report by IndiaTimes, discussions over a potential headline appearance have fallen through. Drake, SZA, and Radiohead are reportedly among the acts being considered for major slots at the festival, while Tame Impala and Dua Lipa have also been linked to the bill.

BTS were never officially announced as part of the line-up. The report notes that neither the group, HYBE, Goldenvoice, nor Coachella has confirmed the negotiations or their outcome.

Speculation about a possible appearance began in January, when HITS Daily Double reported that HYBE had sought a stake in Coachella as part of a proposed arrangement involving promotional rights to BTS’ world tour. That deal reportedly did not materialise.

Interest grew after Goldenvoice president and CEO Paul Tollett attended BTS’ full-group comeback performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square on 21 March, where he was seen alongside HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk. By September, many outlets were reporting that discussions were underway to secure the group for the festival.

Coachella is scheduled to take place across 9–11 April and 16–18 April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Meanwhile, BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour continues. Having opened in Goyang, South Korea, on 9 April, the tour runs into next year, with stops including Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, and Hong Kong. An additional Bulacan show on 16 March extends their announced schedule into the month before Coachella.
