CHUNG HA to release first full album 'QUERENCIA' in February, here's everything you need to know

CHUNG HA has announced that her first full studio album is coming next year.

Entitled QUERENCIA, the album will be the K-pop star's debut album, following the collection of singles and mini-album she's released since her solo debut in 2017. 

CHUNG HA first teased her comeback with a series of 'COMING SOON' teasers in early November 2020, which piqued the curiosity and interest of fans.

According to the K-pop star, QUERENCIA refers to a source of strength and a place where you can be your authentic self. Wanting to encapsulate the same message in the upcoming record, CHUNG HA hopes that her fans can draw strength and find comfort from the album. 

Here's everything you need to know about CHUNG HA's QUERENCIA.

Release Date

In an announcement made via Twitter, CHUNG HA confirms that her debut album is slated for release on 4 January 2021. 

UPDATE (9/12):  QUERENCIA has been postponed indefinitely as CHUNG HA self-quarantines following her positive diagnosis for COVID-19. 

UPDATE (11/01):  CHUNG HA has confirmed QUERENCIA is slated for release on 15 February 2021.

Singles

On Wednesday night (18/11), the singer-songwriter dropped a series of teasers on her social media channels, regarding the album's two singles – 'Dream of You', and 'X'.

‘Dream of You’ is scheduled to drop on 27 November, while 'X'  will be released on 10 December. Both of these songs are pre-release singles that will be dropped ahead of the album

UPDATE (9/12): Following CHUNG HA's positive diagnosis for COVID-19, 'X's release date has been postponed indefinitely. 

UPDATE (11/01):  CHUNG HA has announced that her upcoming single 'X' drops on 19 January 2021 at 6 PM (KST), 5 PM (SGT/PHT).

Just days ahead of the album release, CHUNG HA teased fans with a sneak peek of 'Bicycle', another single off of the upcoming record. 

Tracklist

On 01/11, CHUNG HA teased the album tracklist. According to a Twitter post, QUERENCIA will have 4 sides, with a total of 21 tracks. 

Concept Teasers

In the days counting down to QUERENCIA's release, the former I.O.I member has been releasing various concept teasers and photos that hint at various sides and tracks from the album. 

The first teasers, released on 25 Jan, hints towards 'Bicycle', the first track from the album's NOBLE side. 

The following day (26/01), CHUNG HA dropped her concept teasers for the album's side B entitled SAVAGE.

CHUNG HA continued to tease the album's various side, with various photos and trailers for side C entitled UNKNOWN.

Just days away from the album, CHUNG HA dropped the concept teasers for side D, PLEASURE.
