2022 is drawing to a close and Apple Music's new-look Replay experience has arrived just in time to give you the lowdown on your year in music streaming.
Launched on 29 November, the feature allows Apple Music users to find out what their top songs, albums, and genres of the year are and discover which artists they spent the most time listening to. In addition, Superfans can also learn if they are part of the top 100 listeners of their favourite artists and genres.

As part of the latest iteration of Replay, users will have access to expanded listening insights and a completely personalised highlight reel. They will also be able to share their insights with their followers on social media and their friends and family on messaging platforms.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats, explained: “When we first launched Replay, the feature became an instant fan favourite on Apple Music, and we really wanted to develop the experience further and make it even more special, personal, and unique for subscribers."
“The music we enjoy throughout the year becomes like a soundtrack, and it’s really fun to be able to go back and relive those meaningful and memorable moments over again," he added.
In order to access their Replay insights, Apple Music subscribers will have to ensure that they have listened to enough music for the year using a gauge on the Replay site. Following that, they will be able to view their listening statistics until 31 December 2022.
