Evanturetime & Tim De Cotta explore ego and insecurity on their emotionally raw EP, Heartstrings — listen

Late last year, prodigious Singaporean producer Evanturetime (Evan Low) and accomplished singer-bassist Tim De Cotta announced that they would be teaming up for a special collaborative EP entitled 'Heartstrings'.

Conceptualized over the span of week while on tour in Australia, both artists decided to challenge themselves by making a tune per day. And the fruits of that experiment have finally ripened into these four fully-formed tracks that make up their team-up album.

As Evan himself explains, these emotionally raw songs were crafted to address some very personal issues - "for the good times while reflecting on the harder. For the fleeting moment, and for the immorality that each documented tune creates."

After releasing the EP's title track some months back, the duo have finally released the complete album yesterday. And aside from Tim and Evan's inspired work on production and vocals respectively, weish (of .gif and sub:shaman) also pops up to guest star on the record's standout track 'Puppet'.
