FORD TRIO just took their sonic sermon overseas — and Taiwan was more than ready to receive it.

The neo-Thai funk band brought their full-scale PLUK-SEK SERVICE show to the Chill Out Festival in Taipei, marking their first international outing of the project. With a complete production team in tow — from lighting and visual designers to stage props and specially trained local dancers — the performance delivered an electrifying mix of sound, spirit, and showmanship.

Known as The Chicken-Neck Sect in their cult-like following, FORD TRIO’s Taiwan set was an immersive journey. With the band’s recent EP YANT as its spiritual backbone, the PLUK-SEK SERVICE ritual unfolded in full force: vivid lighting, psychedelic visuals, and a kinetic presence that turned the festival stage into a sacred dancefloor.

First launched at Lido Live House to rave reviews, PLUK-SEK SERVICE evolved into Pluk-Sek Sanctuary, a headline event that captured the attention of fans and festival organizers alike. The group’s performance in Taipei was a direct result of that buzz — and they didn’t disappoint.

FORD TRIO’s commitment to storytelling through music was on full display. Every act was designed like a cinematic ritual, bridging neo soul grooves with Thai musical roots and psychedelic flourishes. The addition of live dancers throughout the set added a visceral punch, transforming each song into a living, breathing experience.

Under the NewEchoes label, the Bangkok-based trio have carved out a genre-defying identity with emotionally charged songwriting and raw, layered instrumentation. And with their bold move across borders, they’re proving that Neo Thai Funk has global legs — and wings.
