Grimes' first foray into K-pop with Loona's yyxy unit, the single 'Love4eva' is out – watch

Amidst all the chaos surrounding the Canadian electronic musician Grimes and her love life, there has been some recent indication of new music, including a surprising collaboration with the K-pop girl group Loona.

Over a week ago, Grimes (aka Claire Boucher) tweeted that she'd be lending her "dark chaos magic" to the new single 'Love4eva' by one of the group's three sub-units, yyxy. Now, the song and music video are out.

The peppy track was produced by E-TRIBE, best known for producing SNSD’s hit song ‘Gee’, and an upcoming production team called BADD. The music video description explains Grimes' involvement as such: "The beats lay on the start of the girls with blessing and grace by Grimes, the creator of her own musical universe."

The music video does not involve Grimes, but features the sub-unit's members Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and Olivia Hye cavorting in a mansion in Budapest, Hungary, under the watchful eye of some sort of executive. The song, the video description says, is about the "sudden encounter of a crush. They sing that it is not just a process to get the person to love you back, but their emotion itself is what is lovable and precious."
