"This is a childhood dream come true for me": Hans Zimmer on Pink Floyd arrangement for the new Dune trailer

Hans Zimmer has done it again.

For the new trailer of the epic sci-fi film Dune, the Oscar-winning composer recreated Pink Floyd's 'Eclipse,' off the legendary rock act's Dark Side of the Moon, with a breathtaking arrangement perfect for bracing apocalyptic sandstorms.

"I’m doing all these experiments, and I have no idea if any of them will ever really end up in the movie," Hans Zimmer tells Variety in an interview about his work on the Dune soundtrack. "But we are so dedicated, trying to do something different, to do solid and honorable work, and do justice to the book.

Dune, which stars Timothée Chalamet, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa, is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on December 18, 2020.

Hans Zimmer previously toured Asia in 2019. His latest works will appear in the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die and Hillbilly Elegy. He is currently holding a global competition with Sony Music and YouTube for video creators and movie fans to create an original music video with music from his album The World of Hans Zimmer.
