Indonesian folk band Payung Teduh release romantic new single 'Akad'

Payung Teduh were formed at the end of 2007, unique from other independent bands, their music is an interesting fusion of folk, pop and jazz. The band is comprised of Mohammad Istiqamah Djamad aka Is (vocal & guitar), Comi Aziz Kariko (Contrabass), Alejandro Saksakame aka Cito (drums), and Ivan Penwyn (guitalele & trumpet).

After around 5 years since the release of their last album, they are back again with a romantic new song. Bearing a different touch, their latest single, titled 'Akad,' the song is a love story that is sung so harmoniously with Payung Teduh's distinctive nuance. Additionally, they threw in strings and trumpets, making the tune even more romantic, as it tells a story of someone's marriage proposal.

The single 'Akad' will be performed live Wednesday, June 7, broadcasted live through their digital channels (Instagram, Facebook & Youtube) at 4.30 PM.
