For the DIVE gathered at Spotify DIVE ACADEMY in Seoul on 19 October, the wait between hearing IVE’s latest single and seeing it performed was measured in hours. Released earlier that day, ‘Looks Can Kill’ received its first live performance at the one-night-only show, giving fans an early look at the group’s forthcoming EP ahead of its 26 October release.

ANYUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANGWONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO also debuted ‘Girls Girls Girls’, offering a preview of another track from the upcoming record. Together, the two performances gave the evening a sense of discovery, with fans encountering material that was either freshly released or still a week away.

The set also made room for familiar favourites. ‘BANG BANG’, ‘LOVE DIVE’, ‘XOXZ’, and ‘REBEL HEART’ accompanied the new songs, bringing earlier releases into a show centred on what comes next.

Between the performances, IVE sat down for a talk segment about their return and the opportunity to reconnect with fans following their world tour.

“We’re making our comeback after eight months, following the completion of our world tour,” LIZ shared. “Thanks to Spotify, it was so wonderful to reconnect with our DIVEs up close after such a long time, making this a truly special and meaningful experience.”

For ANYUJIN, sharing release day with fans made the occasion particularly memorable.

“Being able to meet and spend time with our fans in person on such an important day, as we unveil our title track ahead of our comeback, made the experience even more meaningful and memorable,” she said.

The concert concluded three days of Spotify DIVE ACADEMY. On 17 and 18 October, the space hosted an immersive experience built around the world of ‘Looks Can Kill’, before the final evening brought the music itself to the stage.

Fans who couldn’t attend will also get to see the performances. Spotify will release full performance videos exclusively on its platform, alongside a special video podcast featuring the evening’s talk segment. Release dates have yet to be announced.

“These are special videos you can only find on Spotify, so please spread the word to all the DIVEs who couldn’t join us today!” JANGWONYOUNG told fans.
