Kenshi Yonezu is back again to break new records and own the number one spot across multiple charts as he debuts his single 'IRIS OUT'.

Having been released just a few days prior, the track's incredible success is unprecedented as it clinches a spot in the Top 5 of the Billboard Global 200 chart, becoming the highest-ever charting position for a Japanese-language song. 'IRIS OUT' is set to be featured as the official theme song for the upcoming film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc that will be out in theatres on 24 October.

The music video that pairs with the track highlights key points in the film as the track plays in the background, setting the tone and capturing the vibe of the scenes perfectly.

However, this isn't the first time that Yonezu has made history with his music, as his 2022 Chainsaw Man theme 'KICK BACK' also became the first Japanese-language song to go RIAA Platinum nearly three years after it was first released.

Most recently, however, his collaborative track 'JANE DOE' with Hikaru Utada, which is to be featured as the closing theme to the new Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, shattered expectations as it soared to number one on YouTube’s Trending chart for nine days following its release.

To celebrate the release of the track and its chart-busting success, the duo participated in an exclusive video where the J-pop icons discussed their collaboration, first meeting, and differences in their careers.

With the recent success of 'IRIS OUT' and 'JANE DOE', Kenshi Yonezu continues to redefine the global reach of Japanese music — blending emotional storytelling, cinematic soundscapes, and stunning visuals into a force that transcends borders.
