Jasmine Sokko finishes in Top 4 of Chinese online reality electronic music show, Rave Now

Last night, Jasmine Sokko flew the flag for Singapore at the finals of the popular Chinese online reality electronic music show, Rave Now. She was the only Singaporean and female competing.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the singer-songwriter and producer would be collaborating with American Mandopop icon Coco Lee and two members of Chinese girl group Rocket Girls 101. Her place in the finals of the competition, which, presented by Tencent Video, aims to uncover emergent electronic music producers for the honour of performing at Tomorrowland 2019, is the culmination of a 10-week-long round of ascending through the ranks.

In a series of spell-binding performances that elevated her to an upwardly trending proposition in the teeming world of Chinese social media, Jasmine also affirmed the singularity she brought to the table as a musician. After two fantastic performances last night, she finished at fourth place.

“I gave my best! I feel so blessed that I have made it this far in the competition. I’ve never worked so hard in my life for the past 2 weeks, juggling the workload of creating 13 pieces of music, photo shoots, video interviews and rehearsals. This is definitely a very unforgettable experience for me. I will definitely be back in China in the future”, is how she remembers her experience in an official release, that includes this crucial reveal of her future plans: "I will be back with new music before you know it!".
