KAIA are entering a softer, more heartfelt chapter with their new single ‘hulog’. Riding the wave of their viral cover of ‘Takedown’ and the fan response to ‘Tanga’, the rising P-Pop act return with a track that leans into the thrill, vulnerability, and hope that come with falling in love.

Built around the question “How did you fall in love?”, ‘hulog’ turns its focus toward the rush of romance in its purest form. Where ‘Tanga’ explored the irrational things people do in the name of love, this new release embraces the lighter and more exhilarating side of emotion, revisiting the kind of moments that first make hearts flutter.
For KAIA, the song arrives at a meaningful point in their journey. "hulog came at the right time because it really represents where we are as KAIA now,” shares the quintet. “After everything we’ve experienced from our previous releases and the love we received from our fans, we wanted to share a song that shows a more vulnerable and heartfelt side of us. This song is about vulnerability, about allowing ourselves to be open, to take risks, and to embrace the emotions that come with caring deeply about something or someone. We felt that it was the perfect song to mark this new chapter because it reflects our growth not just as artists but also as individuals.”
The release also brings together some of the notable names shaping modern OPM. ‘hulog’ was produced by Shadiel Chan of Nine Degrees North alongside Ken Ponce, with Chan bringing the same melodic sensibility that has made him one of the country’s most recognised hitmakers. They guided KAIA through harmonies, ad-libs, and vocal interpretation allowing them to explore different emotions in the song, and reconnect with some of their happiest memories and bring a stronger sense of heart and authenticity into the final performance.
KAIA described working with Chan as a dream as they share, "It was also a dream for us to perform a song created by Mr.
Shadiel Chan and Mr. Red Ridao. We are truly grateful and honored to have worked with them on 'hulog', as they thoughtfully shaped its sound and emotion while guiding us in delivering the right feelings through our vocals. The entire experience made the song even more meaningful and special for us as artists.”
With ‘hulog’, KAIA continue to shape their identity through a release that feels tender, hopeful, and emotionally open. Backed by uplifting production and a clear sense of growth, the single signals a new step forward for the group as they share a more intimate side of their artistry.
