LABEL V suspends the release of WayV subunit Lucas & Hendery's single 'Jalapeño'

The release of Lucas & Hendery's single 'Jalapeño' has been suspended.

Ahead of the track's scheduled release on Wednesday (08/25), LABEL V announced that the WayV subunit's debut offering 'Jalapeño' will no longer be hitting streaming platforms due to ongoing issues involving Lucas (né Wong Yuk-hei).

According to a statement by LABEL V, the singer is "deeply aware that his past wrong words and deeds have caused great harm to others, and he is deeply introspecting. The company also feels that there are deficiencies in the management of artists and bears an unshirkable responsibility for this."

I'm LUCAS.

Here, I sincerely apologize to those who have been hurt by my wrong behavior. Begging for a chance to apologize, I'm really sorry.

At the same time, I sincerely apologize to the fans who have always supported and cared for me. I am sorry to disappoint you.

In the past few days, I have deeply reflected on what I have done. I am clearly aware of my mistakes and irresponsible behaviors, and have failed my fans who have always supported me.

Once again, I sincerely apologize to everyone who is disappointed by my behavior. I promise that it won't happen again, and I will interrupt all my activities and make a deep self-reflection in the next period of time.

Finally, I want to say sorry to my members, company staff, many partners, and all the staff of the program group, because my personal behavior has caused bad influence on everyone.

I'm really sorry.
