LISTEN: et aliae delivers a moody, cinematic guest mix for famed Seattle radio station KEXP

Singaporean producer et aliae has certainly been a revelation over the last year or so. Name-making showcases in Germany, England, the United States and Singapore (sharing the stage with the likes Jam City, DJ Paypal and Ryan Hemsworth) have upped her profile considerably (read our introduction to et aliae here), but really, its her exquisite production work that's set the Internet ablaze.

This classically-trained pianist has been known to compose some of the most refined experimental pop out there, drawing effusive praise from major influential publications such as Dummy Mag, VICE, Stereogum, Pigeons and Planes, Spin and The FADER, among many others. Most recently, her Cascine-backed Rose EP (featuring a notable guest spot from D∆WN) awed observers with its elegant electronic tunes, showcasing influences both classical (Chopin, Bach) and contemporary (Aaliyah, Ana Caprix).

And just a little over a week ago, the fast-rising producer earned yet another high-profile platform when legendary Seattle indie radio station KEXP asked her contribute a guest mix for their Midnight In A Perfect World programme. Her hour-long feature was a multi-layered, multi-textured stunner, seamlessly encompassing everything from classical music to cinematic electronic soundscapes to progressive club rhythms. If you missed her guest spot live, don't worry, KEXP has kindly archived the mix on the Mixcloud.
