With the help of an ingenious creation by a Mexican bar, you can now recreate the experience of being in a bar from the comfort of your home. 

Aptly named "I Miss My Bar", the project by Maverick takes the form of a minimalistic website that contains sevenbar sound effects for users to select from, such as "Bartender Working", "People Talking", "Full Room", "Rain on Window", "Night Ambience", "Serving Drinks", and "Street Ambience". 

Users can customise the ambience of their virtual bar by toggling the different sound effects on and off and playing around with volume sliders.

To add to the immersion, users can also play bar-friendly tunes from an embedded Spotify playlist, which was curated by Maverick.

In a statement on the website, the bar explained that "I Miss My Bar" was conceived at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown last year.

"Even though these things will never be replaced, at Maverick we’ve made this modern digital artifact to keep you company while this awful pandemic, which profoundly affects our industry throughout the world, finally passes and we can meet again safely," shared Maverick.
