Rimba immerses listeners in a symphony of pop with their first-ever studio album Technicolor Meeting. True to the name of the record, the album captures the vibrant gradient of emotions and experiences that has shaped the quartet throughout their lives.

Technicolor Meeting is like looking in a mirror; the album’s many narratives merge into a raw portrait of the band’s inner worlds, expressed through varied sounds and a blend of English and Indonesian lyrics. Guitarist Vari Rivano explains their thought process behind the record, sharing, "As a group from Indonesia, we naturally think and express ourselves in Indonesian. However, we grew up with English being equally present in our daily lives. We feel both languages are rich in their own ways, and that allows our creative process to flow more freely—resonating not only with local listeners, but also with audiences from other countries.”

Like the diversity that the album boasts, the controlled chaos behind the making of the album contributes to the lovable charm of the music. Every song was crafted from a distinct creative spark, blending melodic ideas by bassist Marvin Muhammad and guitarist Vari with storytelling contributions from vocalist Latasya Dinar and drummer Ivando Jeremy.

Another aspect of the album's rich depth and substance comes with the captivating collaborators who bring a fresh new angle to each track. Bilal Indrajaya features as a guest vocalist on the previously released track ‘Kampiun,’ with additional instrumental and backing vocal contributions from Refo Ramadhan, Nino Bukir, and Michelle Limanjae.

True to its roots, Technicolor Meeting reflects listeners’ emotions through Rimba’s ‘Pop Belantara,’ a genre-blurring realm driven by exploration, atmosphere, and unconventional dynamics. With Technicolor Meeting, Rimba delivers more than just an album; they offer an immersive journey through sound, language, and emotion. By weaving together personal narratives, multilingual lyrics, and inventive arrangements, the quartet crafts a listening experience that is both intimate and expansive.
