Riot in Magenta to launch new album at the Esplanade this June

Riot in Magenta are back. The electronic pop sextet will launch their long-awaited, self-titled LP next month at Esplanade Annexe Studio.

With mellow vocals and elements of soul and trip-hop, Riot in Magenta carry a flag also brandished by the likes of the xx. Their last EP, Voices, was released in 2015 and fans have been patiently waiting for more ever since.

The band has shared stages with the likes of CHVRCHES and Circa Waves and have also played for huge festivals like St. Jerome's Laneway and Baybeats.

Fans can expect a more polished sound with the new LP, out 23 June, with the band's powerful combination of rhythms, synths courtesy of Ken Hayashida, and Eugenia Yip's breath-taking vocals. The new LP will also be the first release to feature the band's the latest addition to their line-up, a new guitarist Ferry.
