Mandopop shared the spotlight with wushu, drumming, and parkour at SING浪 2026, as nearly 5,800 fans gathered at Singapore Indoor Stadium on 31 October. Across a programme featuring regional artists and homegrown performers, the concert brought Mandarin pop together with electronic dance music and contemporary expressions of Chinese culture.
Presented by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), the biennial concert introduced a 360-degree stage for the first time. With performers at the centre and audiences surrounding them, the layout gave the evening’s music and physical performances room to unfold on all sides.

OSN and Ivy Lee joined a line-up that placed Singapore talent firmly in view. Among them was singer-songwriter Boon Hui Lu, whose appearance followed her Young Local Songwriter of the Year recognition at the COMPASS Awards 2026.
The homegrown contingent also included Tosh Zhang, Marcus Lee, Zadon, OUTCASTS, DJ INQUISITIVE, TINC, Jeff Ng, and Paige Gan, bringing singers, rappers, and DJs onto the same stage.

Beyond familiar names, the concert made space for new music. Four original compositions by Jeff, Marcus, Paige, and local producer Danial Elias Teo received their debuts, giving audiences a first encounter with songs created by Singapore artists.
That emphasis on local creativity extended beyond the vocal performances. The programme highlighted the Singaporean guitarist who played and recorded the guitar parts in the background music used for the viral Chongqing motorcycle trend, drawing attention to a homegrown contribution behind an international social media phenomenon.

The Singapore Traditional Wushu Elite Team also took the spotlight. Wushu stunts, energetic drumming, and parkour sequences formed part of a production that paired striking visual effects with physical performance. Alongside the music, these elements explored how Chinese cultural traditions could take on new forms within a contemporary concert setting.
“We hope that the audience enjoyed SING浪, and are proud of our local singers and songwriters as well as their contributions beyond Singapore,” said SCCC chief executive officer Alvin Tan. “Through concerts like SING浪, we hope to promote local talents to a wider audience, contribute to the local Mandopop scene and showcase the vibrancy of Singapore Chinese culture.”

The music had begun before fans entered the stadium. A special edition of The Buskers Showdown at the North Plaza featured Simon Tu, T Junction, Cloud & Party, Evan Goh, and Jurine Chia, welcoming both concertgoers and members of the public with performances by local acts.
Inside, the night’s final stretch shifted towards the dancefloor. Returning home especially for the event amid his ongoing world tour, DJ INQUISITIVE led a post-concert electronic dance music party, keeping the crowd moving beyond the main programme.

It was a fitting close to an evening that gave Singapore talent space across multiple forms, from newly unveiled songs and busking performances to martial arts and club music.
SING浪 2026 will air on Channel 8 on 27 December, from 7PM to 8PM, and will also be available on mewatch until 26 March 2027.
