Singaporeans Yung Raja and THE AZN SEN$ATION featured on Apple Music Beats 1 special on Asian rap

In the early morning today, Beats 1 radio on Apple Music introduced its listeners to "The New Asia", a playlist of rap and hip-hop coming out of Asia. On that playlist: Singaporean rappers Yung Raja (pictured) and THE AZN SEN$ATION.

Yung Raja's breakout single 'Yung Mustafa' and THE AZN SEN$ATION's March cut 'SUPREMEMAN' features alongside works by rappers from Korea, Taiwan, and more, including Kris Wu, 88rising and Vietnamese rapper Suboi, whose new single 'N-Sao' also got a premiere by Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show.

Raja, who got to introduce his song on the hour-long Beats 1 special via a soundbite, commented to Bandwagon, "As an artiste, I do have big ambitions, but getting such a large scale recognition for what I do and what I stand for is truly remarkable. I feel so grateful for this experience and no words can truly express how happy I am for this golden opportunity."

Anyone can hear the Beats 1 special when it is broadcast live again today at 12pm and 4pm Singapore time, and is available on demand to all Apple Music subscribers. And if you'd like to hear 'Yung Mustafa' live, be sure not to miss Yung Raja live at Ignite Music Festival next weekend and Baybeats Festival next month.
