Indonesian music festival Soundrenaline returns this year with JET, Burgerkill, KPR and more

Soundrenaline makes a return for its 15th year.

The 2017 edition features the theme #UnitedWeLoud. Managing Director of KILAU Indonesia Novrial Rustam as the organizer of Soundrenaline 2017 explains more:

Soundrenaline understands that the soul of a music festival lies in the people who came and support Soundrenaline's direction. So, to realize an unforgettable festival experience we invite everyone involved in Soundrenaline to truly express themselves. This applies to musicians and, of course, the music lovers who will be present at Soundrenaline on September 9 and 10 at Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Bali."

The festival is set to feature acts such as Australian hard rock band JET, along with Indonesian favourites Burgerkill, Kelompok Penerbang Roket, Payung Teduh, Elephant Kind and more.

Adib Hidayat, a writer and music observer expressed his enthusiasm for the concept:

Today's music industry requires musicians to continue exploring and be productive. With the vision of Soundrenaline wishing to reinforce the diversity of the motherland's music, I think this is a good time for musicians to express their musical abilities with the crazy ideas that become their identity.

Collaboration can bring musicians to a bigger and diverse new audience. This needs to be put to good use, especially for new music activists. I myself am curious about the collaboration of Glenn Fredly x Kelompok Penerbang Roket for this year's Soundrenaline."

A few other anticipated performance in Soundrenaline are collaborations between Andien with Scaller, Neonomora with Homogenic, and Mondo Gascaro with Danilla Riyadi. The diversity that is celebrated in Soundrenaline does not stop with the line-up and music collaboration.

Soundrenaline will also showcase mural visual artists. Bujangan Urban, a mural artist and one of the founders of Gardu House will be the architect of mural art exhibited at the festival, as he explains:

I plan to unite several mural artists from various cities in Indonesia to create a work together in Soundrenaline 2017. For friends who want to get involved in this great project can visit Soundrenaline.co.id to find out more about this visual art project."

Tickets for Soundrenaline are now on sale at IDR200.000 (US$15) for a 1-day pass and IDR250.000 (US$19) here.
