Spotify is testing a new ticket-selling service

Spotify is coming out with a new ticket-selling feature.

The streaming platform is currently in the middle of testing its new service, Spotify Tickets which sells fans tickets to their favourite shows and gigs straight from its website instead of being redirected to external ticket services.

Spotify Tickets lists upcoming concerts and allows users to purchase their tickets directly, as long as their logged into their Spotify account. As of right now, the website sees upcoming US shows by TOKiMONSTA, Limbeck, Crows, Annie DiRusso, Dirty Honey, Osees, and Four Year Strong.

“At Spotify, we routinely test new products and ideas to improve our user experience. Some of those end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learnings. [Spotify Tickets] is our latest test. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time," said the company to TechCrunch

This follows Spotify's already existing partnership with ticket providers Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, and See Tickets, who sell their tickets via the streaming service's in-app Live Events feed.
