Steve Badiola of Typecast shares update on hit-and-run accident, knee surgery

Typecast are calling to their friends and fans for help with vocalist Steve Badiola's medical expenses.

UPDATE (12/10): Badiola shared an update on Facebook to thank everyone who helped, donated, and prayed for him while he was at the hospital following his hit-and-run accident. He revealed that his surgery was a success and that he didn't sustain any broken bones from the incident.

Unfortunately, he won't be able to perform at Typecast's upcoming shows until he fully recovers.

Over the weekend, the Filipino post-hardcore act turned to social media to ask for financial assistance for Badiola's hospitalization following a hit and run incident in Parañaque last Friday (26/11).

The 'Will You Ever Learn' singer sustained an injury on his right knee and a big laceration on the right side of his skull and face after a vehicle hit him while he was biking to a convenience store. The perpetrator's plate number was caught on camera.

Should doctors find complications after the debridement, another operation will be required to insert wires and screws to his knee.

Badiola's partner, Sarah Al Hamsi, shared that he is unable to bend his right leg due to the excruciating pain, but is under pain killers and antibiotics to help alleviate it. "Steve being Steve, he never complains about anything and tries to keep a positive outlook," she writes.
