Vietnamese indie icon Vũ. just wrapped his first-ever overseas tour — and he did it in style.
Performing to sold-out crowds at Forum Melbourne on 5 November and Enmore Theatre in Sydney on 8 November, the Museum of Regrets tour marked a new milestone not just for the "Prince of Indie", but for Vietnamese music as a whole. The shows were the largest ever Australian concert tour by a Vietnamese artist.

Best known for his introspective lyricism and warm, nostalgic soundscapes, Vũ. (Hoàng Thái Vũ) delivered a deeply emotional set built around his 2024 album Bảo Tàng Của Nuối Tiếc (Museum of Regrets), which topped Apple Music and iTunes charts in Vietnam and racked up over 150 million streams.
Backed by the Màu Nước Band and joined by guest vocalist Madihu, Vũ. treated fans to heart-tugging favourites like ‘Vì Anh Đâu Có Biết’ and ‘Có Em’, transporting listeners with every gentle guitar strum and soul-baring lyric.

From the moment fans queued with Vietnamese flags in hand to the spontaneous marriage proposal in Sydney during ‘Anh Nhớ Ra’, the tour was packed with unforgettable moments. The crowd response? Electric. Thousands of fans sang along to every word, some overwhelmed with emotion seeing their musical hero perform outside Vietnam for the first time.
“It was emotional, overwhelming in the best way,” one Melbourne fan shared. “I thought I’d have to go to Vietnam to see him live. But to have Vũ. here, where I grew up, was really special.”

Reviewers praised Vũ.’s “deep, resonant vocals” and emotional connection with the crowd, calling the tour “an immersive experience of emotion, nostalgia, and connection.”
Reflecting on the experience, Vũ. said, “What makes me happiest is meeting Vietnamese audiences living abroad. It’s also a way for me to see whether my music can truly connect across borders.”

Based on the roaring reception in Melbourne and Sydney, there’s no doubt it does.
