Fans will be able to have one-on-one conversations with their favourite artists on Weverse's new service soon.

On 24 April, the global fandom platform company announced the launch of Weverse DM, a new private chat service where fans can send messages directly to artists on Weverse.

The new service will allow for a more intimate fan-artist experience as fans will be able to interact with artists by sending and receiving text messages, photos, videos, and emojis through an exclusive subscription service like how they do with friends. Weverse DM will be purchasable via the platform's digital currency also known as "jelly".

Weverse DM's first artist will be unveiled on 25 April, with more artists to be revealed soon.

"We achieved unprecedented success with the number of subscribers, the expansion of countries and regions, and the increase in Monthly Active Users (MAU) since we first launched Weverse. Weverse will continue to develop new services for users while continuously improving existing services for optimal fandom satisfaction and experience," said Joon Won Choi, the President of Weverse Company.

The news comes after a previous announcement where SM Entertainment artists are expected to open official communities on Weverse by September this year.
