The arrival of YG Entertainment's new K-pop girl group is imminent.
Taking to its official Twitter page on 30 December, the South Korean entertainment agency unveiled the news by way of a teaser poster with the words "YG NEXT MOVEMENT".
The human silhouettes against the poster's red backdrop indicate that the group will be made up of seven members. More information about the group will be revealed at 12 AM KST on 1 January 2023.

The teaser was uploaded not long after it was announced that 'LOVE SCENARIO' hitmakers iKON had ended their exclusive management contract with YG Entertainment by mutual agreement.
On the same day, media outlets also reported that global icons BLACKPINK would be moving over to the entertainment agency's subsidiary THEBLACKLABEL, which is home to the artists such as Jeon Somi, LØREN, Taeyang, and R.Tee.
