Liu, who debuted under SM Entertainment's girl group f(x) in 2009, will be joined by notable artists such as rapper Zhou Zhennan, singer-actress Ning Jing, singer Zhou Shen, and CHUANG 2020 finalist Nene.
An adaptation of the popular South Korean series of the same name, the Chinese version of Produce 101 pits 101 C-pop hopefuls against each other in various elimination rounds, with the finalists going on to form a new C-pop group.
To date, the series has been responsible for putting the boy group R1SE and two girl groups — Rocket Girls 101 and BonBon Girls 303. Past mentors include Liu's f(x) bandmate Victoria Song, Aaron Kwok, Wang Yibo, and S.H.E.'s Ella Chen.
