"We’ve been secretly recording songs during quarantine": The Itchyworms on new single 'The Silence' – listen

The Itchyworms have been working on new music in secret while in quarantine.

On Thursday (05/07), the Filipino rock band dropped ''The Silence,' which according to guitarist Jugs Jugueta is "about what everyone is going through right now." He tells Bandwagon, "Nobody could have foreseen that 2020 would be like this."

Drummer Jazz Nicolas adds,"We’ve been secretly recording some songs during quarantine."

While following the guidelines of the enhanced community quarantine on Metro Manila to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, The Itchyworms worked on 'The Silence' from home. Jugueta reveals that he and Nicolas passed parts of the song to each other to complete its structure and lyrics. He says, "We had good practice with all the digital concerts that have been going on since the start of the ECQ. We figured, we can record a whole EP/Album in this way."
