88rising's new label, PARADISE RISING made its official debut with their first mixtape drop, semilucent on Friday (31/07).

Featuring Kiana V, Massiah, Jason Dhakal, Leila Alcasid, and Fern., the five-track EP is a preview of what's to come for the music collective.

"There is such vibrancy in the way talented young artists are emerging, and such a massive audience in love with music, 88rising founder Sean Miyashiro shares. "We want to support their voices, help them be heard, and bring music from the Philippines to a global audience."

Kiana V's music video for 'Safe Place' also premiered on 88rising's YouTube channel on Friday. "Working on 'Safe Place' was such a great experience. I learned so much from Felicia King (my co-writer on 'Safe Place') about being vulnerable and being open," Kiana shares in a message to Bandwagon. "With her help, I was able to speak what was on my mind. I never expected it to be part of a project like semilucent, and I’m so happy it is. To be on the same tracklist as some of my favorite artists in the Philippines is a huge honour.”
