Kakie is back with new music right before 2020 comes to a close.

On Tuesday (29/12), the Filipina singer-songwriter unveiled her new single, 'afterparty'.

In a series of tweets, Kakie revealed how she meant to release more music this year and that 'afterparty' is "just a fraction" of a "greater storyline." She also shared how writing and making music is "what I want to do for the rest of my life."

Kakie worked with Island Records artist Fern., and Kindred Productions on her latest release and shared some detailed notes about the track via Twitter.

'afterparty' is the follow-up to her 2020 single 'battlescars' and the Ely Buendia-produced track, 'tyl'.
