Esteemed Singaporean producer Jason Tan, who you may also know as one-half of Syndicate's Octover, has been fairly quiet this year (outside of his recent work with Uniqlo) - but much to our joyful surprise, the legendary electronic musician appears to be writing tunes once again!

Just last night, the 35-year veteran quietly dropped an exquisite new track entitled 'The Reunion' under his project eastward alias, and we couldn't be more thrilled. His meditative new piece is a sparse and moody ambient journey that's as nocturnally noir as it is achingly reflective.

As Jason Tan himself explains, "It's been a long time since I've written anything. This track was written out of experimentation on creating sonic textures from a solo instrument."

He goes on to say that fresh composition might be the spark for more solo work to come - "Hope this will lead me to writing more new tunes."

We hope so too.
