MAMAMOO's Moonbyul tells a story of love in new mini-album '6equence' — listen

Moonbyul is back.

On 19 January, the MAMAMOO member has returned with her mini-album, 6equence. The record was first announced last December, with the release of 'G999' with fellow rapper Mirani and 'Shutdown' with singer-songwriter Seori

6equence features seven tracks, including her lead single 'Lunatic' and its English version, that all collectively tell a story of a faltering romance from the beginning to the very end. Sonically, the album also dives into an array of genres, showcasing Moonbyul's multi-layered musicality.

The mini-album also sees more of the rapper's writing in her self-written song 'ddu ddu ddu' where she encapsulates the lingering emotions of love and longing after a breakup.

6equence comes as Moonbyul's first solo release since 2020's Dark Side Of The Moon. While MAMAMOO previously released WAW, an album that tracks the group's journey through the last seven years, followed by their compilation album I SAY MAMAMOO that featured new versions of their greatest hits.
