Filipino Sheerios call for Ed Sheeran's concert to be moved to MOA Arena

In an announcement earlier this morning, Ovation Productions revealed the details for Ed Sheeran's Manila concert. Ticket prices, along with the location of the concert were finally disclosed to the public. The British singer-songwriter's "biggest gig in Manila" will be held at MOA Concert Grounds to accommodate his thousands of fans. (As we saw during Coldplay's Manila concert last April, the MOA Concert Grounds can accommodate at least 35,000 fans.)

Following this, many Sheerios took to social media to express their disappointment and dismay about the choice of venue and have demanded that the promoters move the event to their preferred location, the MOA Arena, which has tiered seating levels and can fit about 12,000 to 15,000 fans, depending on the stage set-up.

Posts with hashtags such as #ChangeVenueForDivideTourMNL#DivideTourPHNoToMOAGrounds have proliferated on Facebook and Twitter

A fan took it upon himself to create an online petition on change.org to collect 1,000 signatures and appeal to the promoters to move the location of the concert.

Bandwagon has reached out to Ovation Productions for a statement.
