New indie pop/shoegaze band FERS make their debut with 'Neverland' – listen

In the mood for some gentle yet cathartic shoegaze-pop? Check out this debut track by FERS.

If you know the bands Giants Must FallEnec.e (who played their last show earlier this year) and wyd:syd, you're already kind of acquainted with FERS. The band is led by Ferry (of Giants Must Fall and Riot !n Magenta) on vocals and guitars who is backed up by Ridhwan, Aaron and Kenneth (Enec.e and wyd:syd) on on guitars, bass, and drums respectively.

This song 'Neverland', which draws on J.M. Barrie's classic Peter Pan, was a defining moment for FERS, who came together to write with not much uncertainty about the outcomes, Ferry shared via a press release.

"It was a very organic process of not knowing if it would work. But when we wrote ‘Neverland,’ we instinctively knew we had nailed our sound. It was one of those songs that just fell together and came very naturally," she said. The song is the title track of a 5-track EP that is due out early next year.
