Spotify celebrates another set of female artists all over the world with their EQUAL Music Programme.

With the rollout of the streaming platform's latest EQUAL campaign, an initiative that focuses on fostering equality in music for female creators, regional acts like NIKI, Reese Lansangan, Jasmine Sokko, Violette Wautier, and more were crowned Artists of The Month.

"I believe that music soundtracks our lives. I really love the idea of reaching people through my music first before anything else. Being able to represent on Spotify’s EQUAL campaign that aims to foster equality for women in the music industry is an absolute honour," says Singaporean producer Jasmine Sokko.

Spotify first started the EQUAL initiative in honour of this year's International Women's Day. Since its launch last April, Spotify has been continuously working towards equity for women by showcasing and highlighting female artists and their work with specially curated playlists.

The program is offered in over 50 countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and more. There is also an EQUAL Global playlist that features works from EQUAL artists from all over the world.
