After debuting his first-ever feature film in Sundance, Rich Brian has released a new single. 'Sundance Freestyle' is now available on all streaming platforms.

According to a press release, the new single "features surreal, haunting production that underscores sentimental bars about Brian’s steady rise in the music scene and his recent Sundance debut. The cleverly written and catchy song carries a near cinematic quality as Brian spits incredulously, I just took a flight to Utah man that’s a first time…five years ago I’d be so happy to get five bands for a 30-minute set."

The Indonesian rapper, singer and producer recently starred in Jamojaya, a film directed by Justin Chon that depicts the story of a father (Yayu Unru) and son (Brian) whose relationship is constrained by ambition, generational gap, and other challenges. Most scenes in the movie are in the Indonesian language.

'Sundance Freestyle' was released via 88rising and Warner Records, and with an accompanying music video directed by Daniel Cloud Campos

The new single follows Brian's self-produced track 'VIVID' featuring $NOT. In August 2022, Brian headlined 88rising’s fourth annual, flagship Head in the Clouds festival in Los Angeles and performed in the festival’s globally expanded stages in Jakarta and Manila in December 2022.
