SB19, IV of Spades, Dionela, Ben&Ben, dan Lola Amour meraih banyak penghargaan di Awit Awards ke-39

Musik Filipina menjadi sorotan utama di Awit Awards ke-39, di mana para artis dari berbagai genre seperti pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, folk, dan lainnya mendapat pengakuan di SM Mall of Asia Arena, Kota Pasay, pada 15 September. 

Di antara para pemenang malam itu adalah SB19, IV of Spades, Dionela, Janine Berdin, Ben&Ben, fitterkarma, Lola Amour, Typecast, One Click Straight, Project Yazz, dan Nicole.

SB19 meraih tiga penghargaan untuk lagu ‘Dungka’, yaitu Best Pop Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, dan Best Music Video. Video musik tersebut disutradarai oleh Kerbs Balagtas.

Leader grup P-pop tersebut, PABLO, juga dinobatkan sebagai Songwriter of the Year bersama RADKIDZ. 

IV of Spades membawa pulang dua penghargaan utama malam itu, dengan ‘Aura’ dinobatkan sebagai Song of the Year dan Andalucia meraih Album of the Year.

Dionela juga meraih tiga kemenangan berkat ‘Ikigai’, kolaborasinya dengan Loonie. Lagu tersebut meraih penghargaan Best Collaboration, Best R&B Recording, dan Best Rap/Hiphop Recording. 

Di sisi lain, lagu ‘Pag-ibig ay Kanibalismo II’ dari fitterkarma dinobatkan sebagai Record of the Year, sementara Nicole meraih penghargaan Best New Artist dan Brian Lotho dinobatkan sebagai Producer of the Year.

Janine Berdin meraih penghargaan Best Ballad Recording dan Best Performance by a Solo Artist untuk lagu ‘What if I miss you for the rest of my life’, sedangkan Ben&Ben meraih penghargaan Best Performance by a Group untuk 'Saranggola'.

Album ‘Love on Loop’ karya Lola Amour meraih penghargaan Best World Music Recording, sementara Typecast memenangkan Best Rock/Metal Recording untuk 'Rapture' dan One Click Straight meraih Best Alternative Recording untuk 'Telepono'. 

Project Yazz juga meraih dua penghargaan, yaitu Best Jazz Recording untuk ‘Yamot-Ennui’ dan Best Traditional Contemporary Folk Recording untuk 'Malalim ang Gabi'.
