Sleeping Boy Collective turns cancelled concert into benefit show with Grrrl Gang Manila

Sleeping Boy Collective announced the cancellation of the Ducktails show last week, amidst allegations of sexual misconduct against Matt Mondanile.

SBC has assured ticket-buyers of refunds and has emailed their patrons over the weekend about their refund scheme.

In place of the cancelled performance, SBC will now hold a benefit gig for the survivors of domestic and sexual abuse on October 31 at Mow's. Proceeds from Get Spooky: A Halloween Bash Against Gender-Based Abuse will be given to Women's Care Center Inc., a non-stock, non-profit private institution with a firm commitment to end violence against women.

BANDWAGON TV

The Halloween benefit show will feature performances by College Friends, Tall Ice Lung, GYHT, SERIES, Memory Drawers, Ourselves the Elves, and Calix. SBC has also partnered with Grrl Gang Manila for presentations on tough issues like abuse, survival, and the way forward.

Patrons who wish to refund their tickets may opt for one of the following options:

Full refunds:

If you made an electronic transfer through BPI, SBC can refund the amount right away back to you. To ensure safety of the fund transfer, SBC can only refund the amount back to the account stated in the transaction screenshot you sent. If you covered this information in the image you sent us, please send SBC your account number.

If you made a payment through PayPal, SBC can refund the amount right away back to you, minus the PayPal transaction fee.

Approximate calculation of refunds after the Paypal transaction fee:

1 ticket = P540 ~ P 503.94
2 tickets = P1080 ~ P 1,022
3 tickets = P1620 ~ P 1,542.70
4 tickets = P 2160 ~ P 2060.76

If you made a bank deposit, SBC can refund your payment in cash on October 31 at Mow's during the benefit show. Or if you wish to have to have the refund delivered to a BPI account under your name, you may let SBC know.

250 PHP refund / 250 PHP donation to WCC

The aforementioned methods still apply, but only P250 will be refunded back to you. The other half goes straight to the WCC. You are also granted free entrance to the SBC Halloween benefit show on the 31st.

SBC Ticket Fund

If you wish to have your refund stored in a personal SBC Ticket Fund under your name and use it as payment for an upcoming SBC show, SBC can keep your payment safe until you decide to use it. SBC will arrange a third payment option in their succeeding reservation forms for the SBC Ticket Fund.

This December, two international acts are passing through Manila via SBC. The Saddest Landscape (US) will play on December 3, 2017, while A Place to Bury Strangers (US) will play on December 19, 2017. SBC is offering patrons the option to use the balance from the Ducktails ticket to offset part of the ticket price for these shows.

Details for ticket pricing and show venues are still to be announced, but you can store your refund in your personal SBC Ticket Fund now and use it when SBC rolls out reservations for TSL and APTBS. However, you will still have to go through the reservation form and select the SBC Ticket Fund as your payment option when you decide to redeem your refund.
