The Tencent Music Entertainment Awards (TMEA) held at The Venetian Macao on 11 December 2021, has concluded its third year.

Themed "3ing for Music", TMEA sought to comfort the world recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, uniting both artists and users of Tencent Music's platforms in a video screening of heartfelt stories and singing performances from users played on stage during the ceremony. INTO1, Jay Chou, G.E.M, Rocket Girls 101's Lai Meiyun, and more lighted up the stage while global artists EXO and Taylor Swift made up the list of awardees.

The ceremony was livestreamed on Tencent Music's streaming platform TME Live, as well as their other online platforms including QQ Music, Kugo Music, Kuwo Music, and WeSing. TMEA also partnered with Weibo and Sina, allowing more fans to revel in the Music Carnival featuring 46 Chinese singers, musicians and bands, international artists, and emerging talents from the Tencent Musician program. With 31 different stage sets, the TMEA ensured the ceremony met the various preferences of their wide viewership, which had grown since its record of 5 million new online music paying users earlier in the year.

The ceremony blew up across digital platforms, with a reported 72 billion visits, 153 million discussions, and 160 hot trends on social media site Weibo, as well as 57 hot trend tags on video platforms Douyin and Bilibili.

In addition to stellar performances by global artists, 40 awards were announced for domestic and international singer-songwriters, singers, music groups, songs, concerts, and entertainment charity projects to recognize their efforts contributing to the music industry. Since its inaugural ceremony in 2019, TMEA has not only awarded over 100 trophies but also hosted nearly 100 musicians and performers, cementing its mark as a leader in the Chinese music industry.
