Something's brewing at TikTok next week, and K-pop fans might want to tune in for this one.
Why TikTok could make you the next viral sensation and brighten up your quarantine
As part of its ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts, TikTok wil be launching its first ever K-pop concert series featuring live performances from some of the biggest South Korean artists across two different days. TikTok Stage Live From Seoul will be livestreamed on the app on 25 May (4PM PH/SG/MY Standard Time, 3PM TH/ID Standard Time), while TikTok Stage With HIPHOPPLAYA will be available for viewing on 27 May (7PM PH/SG/MY Standard Time, 6PM TH/ID Standard Time).
The full line-up for the two concerts includes AKMU, iKON, Apink, CIX, CRAVITY, Kang Daniel, KARD, MONSTA X, OH MY GIRL, All Ready, ASH ISLAND, Bobby, Changmo, Crush, Dean, E Sens, Epik High, Giriboy, Heize, Jay Park, Jessi, Kid Milli, Miso, pH-1, Sik-K, Superbee, Tabber, TWLV, Uneducated Kid, Yuzion, and Zico.
For every live viewer who tunes in, TikTok will donate US$0.50, and all proceeds raised will go towards supporting charity efforts for those most affected by COVID-19. Fans will also have the chance to interact with the performers and participate in fundraising through in-app challenges.
“We're grateful for all the artists and entertainers who use TikTok to connect with their fans, and can’t wait until we can see them live on stage again," Doreen Tan, User and Content Operations Manager, TikTok Singapore, shares. "Till then, we’re committed to connecting our community and fans with these massively talented acts from home - all while doing our part to aid COVID-19 relief efforts."
