Dessner says that the feeling and sound of the track feel very much at the heart of the album. ’“This song was something we wrote after we finished evermore and it dawned on us that this was a Big Red Machine song,” Dessner recounts. “Taylor's words hit me so hard when I heard her first voice memo and still do, every time. Justin lifted the song further into the heavens, and my brother (Bryce Dessner)'s strings and drummer Jason Treuting add so much.”

The 15-track record will feature collaborations with Fleet Foxes, Anaïs Mitchell, Ilsey, Naeem, Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan, Shara Nova, La Force, Ben Howard, and This Is the Kit.

Dessner and Vernon previously collaborated with Swift on Folklore and Evermore, both of which were released last year. Dessner was the main producer for both albums, while Vernon's Bon Iver was featured on the tracks 'Exile' and the title track 'Evermore'.

How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? is now available for pre-order here.
