Nine years ago, BTS announced the name of their official fandom, ARMY. Today, that fandom spans all over the world and is one of the most dedicated communities out there.

ARMY comprise people from all walks of life, all united by their love for RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. In the fandom, it's a common saying that you'll never walk through life alone, always having BTS and your fellow ARMY right by your side. Nine years later, that still proves true with some of the truest friendships formed by simply asking: Do you know BTS?

To ring in ARMY's 9th anniversary, we look at some of the ARMY clubs and fan accounts, from writers to lawyers, that have been formed all over the world.

ARMY WRITERS CLUB

Formed in 2020, the ARMY Writers Club is a space where budding writers come together to connect with fellow writers and get tips to improve their writing skills. The club often offer writing prompts, workshops, and writing challenges to help ARMY hone their skills and share their stories.

BTS ARMY Medical Union

Making the complex world of medicine a little more fun and accessible is the BTS ARMY Medical Union or BAMU. Started by a community of licensed medical professionals and pre-med and med students, BAMU combines two things they are most passionate about—medicine and BTS. 

Hoping to educate fellow ARMY on a spectrum of topics, the community shares infographics and tips on how to maintain your health. Whether it's how to care for your mental health to teaching you a little bit more about anatomy, BAMU is a fun, educational hub that talks about self-care, medical treatments, and more.

You can't go and binge episodes of Run BTS without some delicious snacks. Enter BTS ARMY Kitchen. Formed by BTS fans from all over the world, this online community is your one-stop hub for delicious recipes, cooking lessons, and health tips. 

Whether you wanted to learn how to make Korean-Style Curry, or want to try some new BTS-inspired cocktails, or maybe just wanted some tips on how to keep the kitchen clean, BTS ARMY Kitchen's got you covered.

Bangtan Scholars

If there's anything RM has taught us, it's that reading and learning are important. Formed in 2020, Bangtan Scholars is an online space where current and aspiring scholars can connect and grow together. The club often share insightful articles and videos on an array of topics, from Asian representation in music to contemporary art to how Spotify API data works, that ARMY can engage and learn from.

One In An ARMY

Serving as a direct reflection of BTS' message of love and kindness, ARMY often hold donation drives, charity projects and fundraisers for social causes and the less privileged. One of them is One In An ARMY, an online community that's dedicated to making a difference in the world through their love of BTS. 

Hoping to give back all the love that the 'Dynamite' act has shown their fans, One In An ARMY have put together an array of projects since their inception in 2018, from sustainable safe water programs in Central America to reversing desertification in Southern Spain.

BTS ARMY Bar Association

BTS ARMY Bar Association is a community of lawyers brought together by their love of BTS and their mission to provide easy-to-understand legal commentary on certain topics and issues. While they're still working on helping ARMY sue Min Yoongi, they'll certainly give you all the necessary information you need to know about copyright, false advertising, and even how the United Nations works.
