The Japan Gold Disc Awards have declared this year's winners. 

On 15 March, the Recording Industry Association of Japan announced the winners for the 35^th installment of the music awards, with an array of artists from all across the world winning major categories.

BTS lead the winners' board, taking home a record-breaking 8 awards this year. The global pop group won Best Album of the Year (Asia), Best Music Video of the Year (Asia), Best 3 Albums for both MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 and MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY, and Best Asian Artist for the third year in a row.

The group's Grammy-nominated single 'Dynamite' also won big at the Japan Gold Disc Awards, securing BTS with Best Song of the Year by Download (Asia), Best Song of the Year by Streaming (Asia), and one of the Best 5 Songs by Streaming awards.

J-pop icons ARASHI also took home big prizes at the Gold Disc Awards, winning a total of 5 categories – Best 5 Songs by Streaming, Music Video of the Year (Japan), Best 3 Music Videos, Best 5 Singles, and Artist Of The Year (Japan). The group has previously won the Artist Of The Year award 7 times.

Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu's STRAY SHEEP was named Album of the Year (Japan). His fifth studio record is one of the best-selling albums of 2020, sitting at number 3 on IFPI's Global Album Sales Chart with the likes of BTS, BLACKPINK, Taylor Swift, and more. 

Alongside BTS, fellow K-pop acts TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Stray Kids, and SEVENTEEN also won a number of awards.

Fresh off of their Japanese debut, TOMORROW X TOGETHER won New Artist Of The Year (Asia). The group also claimed one of the Best 3 New Artists (Asia) awards, alongside Stray Kids. SEVENTEEN rounded off the Best 3 Albums category with their record 24H.
