Young K is set to make his solo debut!

[UPDATE 19 AUGUST 2021]: Young K's first solo album, titled Eternal, will be out on 6 September, 6 PM KST (5 PM SGT/PHT).

Eternal is now available for pre-order at KRW 14,100. 


According to media reportsJYP Entertainment has revealed that the DAY6 member is currently in the midst of preparing for his solo debut. While there are no confirmed details yet about the release, the agency has confirmed that he will be releasing an album. 

"It is true that Young K is preparing a solo album. The detailed schedule has not been determined yet. The schedule will be announced once it is confirmed," says JYP Entertainment, according to a statement by Soompi

In a V Live session on Monday (16/08), the singer and bassist also revealed to fans that he will be enlisting in the South Korean military in October 2021.

In the last year, Young K, who plays bass in DAY6, has frequently been posting renditions of popular songs online, covering tracks like 'Fly Me To The Moon' by Bart Howard and Frank Sinatra, 'What Am I' by Why Don't We, and 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz. 

Young K also recently collaborated with the Filipino folk band Ben&Ben for the Korean version of the group's song, 'Leaves'. This comes as his latest project, following the DAY6 sub-unit Even Of Day's Right Through Me
