Tonight, we're celebrating P-pop!
In an announcement made today (02/15), PPOP Convention—which describes itself as "the ultimate fan gathering and celebration of Filipino Pop or Pinoy Pop culture and music"—shared that they will be holding their very first event tonight at 6 PM PHT via Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

While details on the event have yet to be revealed, PPOP Convention has previously teased that they will showcase and celebrate some of the Philippines' biggest pop acts. No performers or appearances have been confirmed but many hope to see the likes of SB19, ALAMAT, BINI, BGYO, and more at the convention.

This is the first event of its kind in the country and comes at a time where P-pop acts are slowly making their global rise. In the last year, the likes of BGYO and BINI have performed in Dubai while SB19 made history as the first-ever act to spend over 7 weeks atop Billboard's Hot Trending Songs chart.
