According to autotranslations from Melon, 'Hope' is about: "When you're having a hard time, you may be afraid and lonely to be alone, sometimes frustrated and want to give up, but these times are just visitors who stay for a while. Don't compromise your dreams and beliefs with passing emotions like fear”.

The BTS connection doesn't start there. Earlier this year, RM shared a Weverse post with Eun's previous single, 'Heart,' with Eun showing his thanks by sharing a screenshot on his Instagram page.
