Pinkmen release live studio cover of Player's 'Baby Come Back' – watch

Pinkmen have shared their take on a 1977 classic.

On the fourth episode of Live at Crow's Nest, the Filipino folk-rock act behind 'Hanggang Sa Muli' covered Player's chart-topping hit 'Baby Come Back.'

"We wanted to go for something kind of retro, but not overused, and this kind of just hit the right spot," guitarist/vocalist Matt Medrano tells Bandwagon.

Paul Alvarado, who also plays guitar and sings in the band, adds, "But also something that wasn't really too easy for us. Also wanted the 1 a.m. feels na pauwi ka sa taxi tapos parang gusto mo na kumama."

"Most of the time you just hear a snippet of it, so minsan nakaka-bitin," keyboardist Jed Zulaybar says. "We wanted to satisfy that bitin factor and also put our own spin to it."

Pinkmen talk about their double single release, working with Offshore Music

Pinkmen are set to release more singles and music videos this year. "For us, each of them has their own unique and stand alone story. So the idea is to release them one by one as singles, to each give the time and distinction that we think is due for each song," the band tells Bandwagon.
