SB19 appointed as new 'Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador' by the Philippines' National Commission for Culture and the Arts

SB19 are the Philippines' new Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador. 

In an announcement made on 16 December, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) revealed that it is welcoming the P-pop act as their new Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador. The 'Bazinga' hitmakers were said to be chosen for the position for their continuous efforts to promote and uplift Filipino culture and music.

"SB19 was chosen to be the NCCA Youth Ambassadors and face of Sentro Rizal not only because of their growing fanbase and influence in the local and international scenes but also of their willingness to support the NCCA’s endeavours, as well as for their genuine care for advocacies to uplift the Filipino spirit, music and culture to the global scene, which is in line with the NCCA’s mandate to promote Philippine arts and culture worldwide," said the NCCA, in an official statement.

As Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador, SB19 are expected to continue to promote and uplift Filipino culture and art scene on a global scale. 

In the last year, SB19 has risen up to be one of the country's biggest musical acts, not only locally but internationally. The five-piece recently landed in the top 5 of Spotify's RADAR Global playlist and even topped Billboard's Hot Trending Songs chart, replacing global pop icons BTSwith their track 'Bazinga'. 

In their latest milestone, SB19 won People's Voice Favourite Song for 'Hanggang sa Huli' at the 34th Awit Awards
