Spotify and TikTok collaborate to offer free Premium trials to users in the UK, Italy, Germany, and more

As part of a new partnership between the two entities, selected TikTok users in the United Kingdom and Europe may be eligible to receive a free Spotify Premium trial.

The music streaming service and short-form video-sharing app launched a marketing campaign in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Turkey.  Offering free three- or four-month Spotify trials, the two companies the offer on Tuesday (13/07) morning. The duration of the free trial will vary by country and it is only available to those who are over 18 and have not subscribed to Spotify Premium before.

For those eligible, TikTok users in these countries should receive “a unique code” that will allow them to activate the offer. They can access the said unique code via their “For You” and “Discover” pages, on a profile icon on the “Me” page, or by searching “Spotify” on TikTok.

Commenting on the collaboration between the two media companies, TikTok’s Head of Growth, Europe David Nunez said: “TikTok is a sound-on, immersive experience, with music sitting at the heart of how people create and engage with content on the platform. We’re delighted to bring this offer with Spotify Premium to our community, helping them gain even more enjoyment from the artists and tracks they’ve known on TikTok.”

Spotify’s Vice President, Global Head of Premium Business Development Marc Hazan also commented: “Spotify connects artists and listeners in a way that wasn’t possible before, building a diverse community of music fans driven by discovery and inspiration. We are proud to introduce TikTok’s enthusiastic and growing user base to the many benefits of Spotify Premium: millions of songs ad-free, on-demand, and offline.”

TikTok roll out 6 new interactive music filters 

The promotion comes roughly seven months after a partnership with TikTok and Apple Music where the streaming company similarly offered a four-month trial to iOS TikTok users free of charge.
