I wrote this song thinking of them hoping they’ll get better and letting them know they’re not alone on this," explain Thomas about in a statement. "This song means the world to me. I wrote this song to help one person in mind but I hope this song can help people everywhere."

Following the release of 'Pills', Bandwagon caught up with Thomas to talk about the new single, working with Phum Viphurit, and the creative process behind it all.

We’re so excited for ‘Pills’, could you walk us through what story the song tells?

The song is about someone very close to me that didn't have the best relationship with medication and this is me just letting them know that it's all going to be okay and I'll always be there for them.

How did you link up with Phum for this collaboration? What was it like working with him?

I got this amazing opportunity through asiatic.wav and Warner Music Asia. It's been really cool working with a legend like Phum, working with him has been really smooth.

Walk us through the production process of ‘Pills’. What were some challenges and highlights you guys had while putting the song together?

So for the production process since we're not in the same country, it has been like passing a ball around. I started with the full song lyrics, melody, and chords, and when I handed it to Phum, he added a cool groove and his guitar then I would give feedback and he would switch it up. I really enjoyed how smooth the whole process was, to me I think the only downside was not being able to work on the music together in the same room but overall it was still a very enjoyable process.

‘Pills’ comes as part of Asiatic Records’ upcoming EP, what’s it like being part of that project?

It has been such a tremendous honour to be part of something so big alongside other amazing artists across different parts of Asia.

Who are some of the artists you’ve been listening to lately? Anyone we should add to our playlist?

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Joyce Wrice, Lucky Daye, and PJ Morton, all artists I think every R&B listener should give a shot.

What other projects can we expect from you this year?

I’m currently preparing to release a song called “King” that I have performed a few times and have been itching to release for a long time. Similar to “Pills”, it is a song about someone very close to me. After that single, I have a ton of other singles that I can't wait for the world to hear!
