BTS, Chung Ha, aespa, IU, and more win at the 2022 Korean Music Awards

The Korean Music Awards has crowned their winners. 

On 1 March, the coveted awards show held its highly anticipated ceremony and honoured some of the best names in Korean indie and mainstream music. 

aespa leads this year's winner pack, taking home three of the five awards they were nominated for including Rookie of the Year, and Song of the Year and Best K-pop Song for their viral hit 'Next Level'

BTS took home the night's biggest award Artist of the Year, making it their third time winning the accolade. Chung Ha also had a big evening, winning Best K-pop Album for her first-ever record Querencia, while IU took home Best Pop Album for her fifth album LILAC

Soumbalgwang also dominated over the rock music category, winning both Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for Dance and 'Happiness, Flower' respectively. While HAEPAARY swept the electronic music category winning Best Electronic Album and Best Electronic Song
